Friday 17 May 2019

I spotted this little bugger dragging himself across a stony driveway in front of a local pig farm/piggery.

Put him in my lunch bag and took him home.

Dried him and rapped him up in a nice warm towel for the night.

Told him if he survived the night I'd take him to the vet in the morning for a check over and everything else a kitten gets done.

Saturday morning

He's a battler!

Took him to the Vet.

Vet takes guess at his age - a week old if that!

As I have never had to raise any cat from a young age before, they always seem to turn up at the front door when at least a couple of years old or older so giving this one a home and raising it is a totally new experience for me.

It had to be bottle fed every two and a half hours 24 hours a day for the first week so I arranged for "Jerry" to be looked after by the vet.

Two weeks later he's home.

I now know what it's like for parents with a new born baby in the house, after only two days I am very tired and have black rings below my eye's!

But he's totally worth it.

To be continued.
